Martin
J. Siegel is currently the principal owner of the Law Offices of Martin J. Siegel, with offices in Pennsville, New Jersey
and New Castle County, Delaware.
Martin
J. Siegel was formerly a partner with the Law Offices of Doroshow, Pasquale, Krawitz, Siegel and Bhaya, a Wilmington, Delaware
based firm. He was the managing associate and then managing partner of the firm’s
New Jersey office from 1985 to April of 2005.
He
is a graduate of the Delaware Law School of Widener University (J.D. 1984) and Bucknell University (B.A 1979). Mr. Siegel is a member of the bar in both Delaware and New Jersey.
His practices focuses on plaintiffs’ tort litigation and defense of criminal matters.
Mr.
Siegel is a member of the Board of Governors of the New Jersey Trial Lawyers Association.
He has served on the New Jersey Supreme Court Advisory Committee on Complimentary Dispute Resolution and has extensive
training and experience as a civil mediator and arbitrator. Mr. Siegel was one
of approximately 70 attorneys in the State of New Jersey who was selected and trained as a civil mediator in the Superior
Court Pilot Mediation Program in 1996. He is past President of the Salem County
New Jersey Bar Association.
Mr.
Siegel is an adjunct faculty member at the Widener University School of Law, where he teaches a seminar in Alternate Dispute
Resolution. Mr. Siegel has also lectured on New Jersey Automobile Insurance Law
& Civil Trial Practice and Preparation for the Delaware Trial Lawyers Association, American Trial Lawyers Association/New
Jersey, The National Business Institute, The Widener University School of Law and other groups. Mr. Siegel is the author of “Seeing Through the MIST” (Delaware Trial Lawyers Association,
1999) and was a contributing author to a treatise on bankruptcy law and practice, published in 1985.
Mr.
Siegel has extensive courtroom experience having tried to a conclusion many civil and criminal bench and jury trials. Mr. Siegel was lead trial counsel in the case of
Ventura vs Sussex Emergency Associates, a record setting $6.65 million dollar verdict obtained in Sussex County Delaware
in 2003.
